Atia Altars - Detailed

[This is not final nor decided, this is just a showcase on how an Atia Altar mechanic would look like]

Blessings are special upgrades that enhance your team with unique buffs or modifications, tailored to specific Axie classes. Each Blessing targets a particular class, introducing strategic variations that cater to different playstyles. For example, a Blessing may increase the attack speed of Bird Axies or provide a health boost to Plant Axies. This class-specific focus means that not all Blessings are beneficial to every team composition.

Imagine a scenario where your team consists of 3 Aquatic Axies and 2 Reptile Axies. If the Blessings offered are the ones shown above, they would provide no value to your current setup. This is where Atia Altars come into play.

Atia Altars: Consistency and Customization

Atia Altars are NFTs that influence the distribution of class-specific Blessings, ensuring that players receive upgrades aligned with their team’s composition. By using an Atia Altar, only the classes present in the Altar will appear as potential Blessings during your run, providing a more controlled and consistent experience.

Altars come in various rarities, each defining the number of Axie classes they can support:

Atia Altars will start with a supply of 10000, the supply of Common, Rare, Epics and Mystic altars can vary but not Genesis or Unique Atias.

  • Unique Altar: 1 Class - Supply: 9 - 0,01% chance on Mint day

  • Genesis Altar: 2 Axie Classes - Supply: 36 - 0,05% chance on Mint day

  • Origin Altar: 3 Axie Classes - Supply: 84 - 0.94% chance on Mint day

  • Mystic Altar: 3 Axie Classes - Starting supply 0 - based on merging

  • Epic Altar: 4 Axie Classes - Supply * - 10% chance on Mint day

  • Rare Altar: 5 Axie Classes - Supply * - 30% chance on Mint day

  • Common Altar: 6 Axie Classes - Supply * - 59% chance on Mint day

  • F2P Altar: 9 Axie Classes (Supports all classes for a completely random experience)

*Based on how many get minted by random chance

For example, if you own a Genesis Altar with Aquatic and Bird classes, the only Blessings you will encounter will be for Aquatic or Bird Axies. This allows players to focus their strategy around specific classes, gaining greater control over their team’s evolution.

Altar Merging and Upgrading

Players can merge two Atia Altars of the same rarity to potentially create a higher-tier Altar. When merging, the resulting Altar inherits class distributions from both merged Altars, with a chance of upgrading to the next rarity tier. For example:

  • Merging two Epic Altars might result in a Mystic Altar with class combinations shared between the original Epic Altars.

  • Similarly, higher rarities like Mystic or Genesis can only be achieved through merging and cannot be minted directly.

This merging system adds an element of strategy and progression, as players refine their Atia Altars over time to achieve the ideal class distribution for their preferred playstyle.

Supply and Acquisition

  • New Altars can only be minted using Atia Shards, which are exclusively earned through in-game rewards or obtained by merging Altars.

  • Minting Cost

    • Each new Altar costs 10 Atia Shards to mint.

  • Deflationary Supply Model

    • Merging two Altars consumes them both, reducing overall supply, while rewarding players x Atia Shards based on Atia Rarities, with the reward amount determined by the rarity of the merged Altars.

    • Since each merging action removes 2 Altars from supply while adding only 1 new Altar, this deflationary mechanism ensures a gradual decrease in the total number of Altars.

    • Merging into a higher category will have a 50% success rate if both Altars have the same rarity, it drops to 12.5% if one atia is 1 rarity higher than the other and to 3.25% if the higher rarity atia is 2 rarities over the less rare one. Examples:

    • Epic + Epic = 50% chance to become Mystic

    • Epic + Rare = 12.5% chance to become Mystic.

    • Epic + Common = 3.25% chance to become Mystic.

In case of failure, both atias will be burned an the player will receive:

  • 10 Atia Shards per Epic Atia in merge

  • 7 Atia Shards per Rare Atia in merge

  • 5 Atia Shards per Common Atia in merge

  • Mintable Rarities

    • Only Common, Rare, and Epic Altars can be acquired through minting.

    • Mystic Altars can only be obtained through merging 2 Epic Altars.

    • Chances on Mint will be 80% Common 16.75% Rare and 3.25% Epic.

    • Genesis and Unique Altars are capped in supply and cannot be used in merges, preserving their exclusivity.

  • Stability and Scarcity Management

    • To counterbalance the deflationary pressure, the Axie Land Battles team can distribute Atia Shards as rewards in game, ensuring Supply Stability based on player activity and population.

    • Distribution Atia Shards will only be available for the team to counterbalance deflationary pressure, it will not be the main source of rewards and the mintable amount will be based on the amount of the Current Atia Supply and current circulating Atia Shards, maintaining the max supply to the same.

For example, if 5000 Atia Exist, and 30000 shards exist in circulation, that means that a max of 8000 Atias can exist, so the amount of Atia Shards that would be allowed to be minted would be 20000 so the potential max supply keeps being 10000 Atias.

  • Atia Shards will be materials/NFTs like Mementos

  • The Max supply will only be increased / extra Atia shards will be minted if the dev team think is needed because of a huge increase in playerbase, this also would be voted on by players and Atia owners before any decision is made, the final decision is from the community.

In conclusion, by integrating Atia Altars into the game’s Blessing system, Axie Land Battles introduces a unique layer of customization and progression, empowering players to shape their experience and optimize their team compositions with greater precision.
